me today
The area manager of the bank which I am currently employed said “don’t just look for job, look for a career". And I think she is right! I got inspired on her because she also told me that she is from the country side. She believes in me. That’s what I see.
Okay. Jian let’s talk…
What happened to you today?
…uhmm… just fine. I think I like the job and will stay longer in the company… I am fighting the doubts inside me because I wanted to have a stable job before going out of the country… but I am still hoping to have a good future here in our country. The job is serious... and I wish… to survive it! Or even love it! I’ll try to love my job and enjoy it.
Why you have doubts?
During my college years…I don’t study that hard in my banking and accounting subjects… like money, credit and banking…and now it’s the subjects that is more important to me! I am doing a review right now and a research about the banking system… oh my! Oh my! Where am I? I wish I can become what I want to be… maybe you can’t really get everything you want… I really want to be a…painter, maybe a writer (if only I was sent to a good school… I think). A sculpture maker, a technician, a computer programmer, an artist (not an actor or actress), photographer, film maker, to help people, to understand society and serve them and not just to provide them the so – called excellent customer service… that’s where I am… but I am here… I don’t need to give this up right? Whoa jian believe in your self.
What is your plan now?
It’s to convince my self to do what I need to do in where I am today. To keep running my race…and win it! Its right to not give up and set your mind on positive thoughts in life and a better tomorrow…a worthy future… I feel stepping on the stair of success with rocks falling on me… but I’ll not allow those rocks to block my way…maybe I can use it to make a larger step someday…remember the story of a cow that unsuccessfully buried alive by its owner? “Shake it off, step up” I love that story from my prof. sir jed…
What actions will you do?
Face everyday and be better… doing my job well and excel… very general…? Uhmm... I PRAY to the Lord… every time of the day… to guide me...to give me wisdom..
